In preparation for the opening of the new Domestic Terminal in 2013 and further consolidation of all commercial air services to the current international precinct, the terminals have been renumbered.
From 1 November 2012, the following terminal numbers will apply:
| International services | |
| Terminal 1 | All international airlines |
| Domestic services | |
| Terminal 2 | Alliance Airlines, Tiger Airways and Vergin Australia (formerly Skywest) with flight numbers starting with XR |
| Terminal 3 | Virgin Australia with flight numbers starting with VA |
| Terminal 4 | Qantas and Jetstar |
The new Domestic Terminal will be numbered Terminal 2 and is home to Alliance Airlines and Virgin Australia (formerly Skywest) with flight numbers starting with XR, and Tiger Airways
Please note: Qantas domestic services are not moving – only their terminal number has changed.

When arriving back into Perth at T2, it will be necessary to catch the Connect inter-terminal transfer bus to T3 /T4 and then catch the long term car park bus to your car park.
When T2 opens and you are connecting to an international flight, T1 is a short walk from T2.
